PROJECT EVIDENCE

Projects with proof, context and next steps.

This page gives more detail than the homepage. Each project explains the goal, the tools used, what I built, and what I would improve next.

Currency converter terminal output preview

PYTHON

Currency converter

A beginner Python command-line program that converts between USD, EUR and GBP using hard-coded educational exchange rates.

Tools used

Python, functions, dictionaries, user input, formatted output and validation of currencies and finite, non-negative amounts.

What it proves

I can break a small problem into steps, store related data, check choices and return a clear result.

Next improvement

Add automated regression tests and make the example rate table easier to update.

Challenge addressed: Invalid amounts could stop the program. Input now retries with a clear explanation, while the conversion calculation stays in a separate function.

HTML CSS JAVASCRIPT

Mobile World Station

A multi-page mobile phone shop concept rebuilt from older coursework to improve structure, page consistency and presentation.

Tools used

HTML pages, shared CSS, JavaScript interactions, product imagery and multi-page navigation.

What it proves

I can revisit rough work, improve it, connect pages together and create a more usable front-end experience.

Next improvement

Make the product data easier to maintain and replace demo shop content with clearer fictional branding.

My contribution: Rebuilt my earlier coursework into a shared layout with connected product pages and clearer navigation.

Cyber security themed project preview

CYBER SECURITY

Cyber security learning journal

An in-progress journal covering current study topics and a repeatable lab-report structure. Completed lab write-ups and screenshots are not published yet.

Tools studied

Linux basics, IP addresses, ports, common protocols, Nmap concepts and Burp Suite basics.

Current status

Study notes and documentation structure. Practical findings will be added after completed, authorised exercises.

Next improvement

Add screenshots from legal labs and short write-ups for each completed learning exercise.

BTEC Level 2 portfolio preview

COURSEWORK MILESTONE

BTEC Level 2 portfolio

My earlier portfolio is kept as a learning milestone, not as my best current design work.

Tools used

HTML, CSS, image assets and multi-page site linking.

What it proves

It shows where I started and gives context for the improvements in my current portfolio.

Next improvement

Keep it clearly labelled as older work so it does not weaken the impression of my current ability.
